Trust

I have lived most of my life as a guarded person. People often think I'm hard faced or cold, I'm not, I just find it very hard to trust people.

People let you down!

This is a fact, a sad fact but a fact I thought I had come to terms with over the years but one that has reared it's head again these last few weeks.
Maybe it's human instinct to try and be better than the next man, survival of the fitest I suppose some may call it, but in this day and age is it really necessary??

Why is it people you work with feel the need to go out of their way to get you into trouble?
Why do people who claim to be your friends suddenly move onto another friend leaving you wondering what you had done wrong?
Why do people always let you down?

Theres no obvious answer to this I guess, the only real answer is YOU CAN'T TRUST ANYONE.
