Wonderful Life

I have spent much of the last few weeks feeling sorry for myself, pissed off at people and the world around me. We all have times and moments like this I guess.

Then I listened to a song, a song I hadn't listened to for many months and it got me thinking...

'On a bridge across the Severn on a saturday night,

Susie meets the man of her dreams.

He says that he got in trouble and if she doesn't mind

He doesn't want the company

But there's something in the air

They share a look in silence and everything is understood

Susie grabs her man and puts a grip on his hand as the rain puts a tear in his eye'

Whatever life throws at you, whatever bad things happen it's important to see what you have got and who is there to make you feel better, to kiss away the tears, to hug away the pain.

Everyone needs someone sometimes...

And Susie knows the baby was a family man,

But the world has got him down on his knees

So she throws him at the wall and kisses burn like fire,

And suddenly he starts to believe

He takes her in his arms and he doesn't know why,

But he thinks that he begins to see'

Happiness can be found in anything and in anyone and we need to embrace that and run with it. Life aint perfect, life aint a bed of roses but theres someone somewhere out there much worse off than you and me and sometimes that realisation can help me see that life can be good, if not always perfect...

Life is short and life is precious, although I can't always see it I know it's true and I know that tomorrow is another day and maybe it won't be an amazing day but it can be a good day and the possibilities are endless.

Everyone needs someone sometimes so maybe if you know someone who's a little low just reach out and ask how they are, and really mean it, you never know you could just save their life...
